Exploring the Pulse of Modernity
In an era driven by the rapid exchange of information and technological advancements, how do artists navigate the concept of velocity—speed, acceleration, and immediacy? This theme invites artists to reflect on the influence of digital culture, technological evolution, and the overwhelming pace of contemporary life on art and society.
From the ephemeral nature of data to the physical and emotional impact of hyperconnectivity, Velocity: Techno-Information encourages participants to investigate, reinterpret, and visualize the layered effects of speed and technology on the human experience.

About Ha.aH Art Space
Located in Barcelona's historic Old Town, Ha.aH is a creative hub fostering interdisciplinary exploration. Our 350m² venue combines workspace and exhibition areas, offering a dynamic environment for artistic research, production, and presentation.
Program Focus  
Our goal is to advance the selected artists’ professional development. Up to 8 artists in residence will produce their work over 1 month, culminating with a collective exhibition.  Participants are encouraged to engage with local art professionals, propose talks and workshops, and delve into Barcelona's rich socio-cultural environment.  
Residency Highlights


  • Develop and produce work in response to the residency theme.
  • Collaborate with peers and local creatives through curated workshops, critiques, and talks.
  • Showcase your work in a collective exhibition event at Ha.aH.
  • Access Ha.aH’s extensive local art network.

What We Provide


  • Workspace equipped with tools and resources. 
  • Access to Ha.aH facilities, including exhibition space and technical support.
  • Portfolio reviews and curatorial guidance from residency coordinators and guest professionals.
  • Invitations to participate in seminars, studio visits, and cultural outings.
  • Daily snacks and beverages.
  • Monthly Transportation Card.
  • Tailored assistance during your stay in Barcelona.
  • Spanish-English translator. 

Program Fee


  • 1000 EUR per participant
    This fee includes workspace access, technical support, and programming. Travel, accommodation, and daily expenses are not included. We can provide letters of invitation for external funding applications.

Application Guidelines
Interested artists should send a PDF document to [email protected], including:


  1. Proposal:     Outline your project, including its relevance to the theme Velocidad: Tecno Información, materials, and technical requirements.
  2. Portfolio/CV: Highlight relevant experience and past works, including links to digital portfolios or videos.
  3. Passport Scan: Ensure your passport is valid for three months beyond the residency period.
