Quito, in Ecuador, is a big city where different realities are merged.
La cabaña is a shelter in the center of the city. Built by the two of us, with the means available, is a place to think about the experience of Quito.
During two weeks we lived back and forth between Quito (the experience space) and La Cabaña (the reflection space).
The result was a sampling of three Quito’s popular culture elements:
The catholic virgin, as a character that carries the identification of a social group.
The market juice stand, as an experimental space of fruit mixes.
Rap in public transport, as a way to express reality of everyday life.
